Purpose:
For companies to expand overseas market presence through market development activities.
DTD scheme (under Section 14B of Income Tax Act) supports market development expenses incurred by Singapore-based companies for new markets, products and/or customers. It allows your company to enjoy tax savings i.e. deduct twice the eligible expenses incurred against your company's taxable income. DTD covers a range of market development activities along key stages of your overseas expansion.

Note: Wef 1 Apr 04, all DTD applications for participation in approved local trade fairs (i.e. AIF designated shows or STB supported events) will be processed by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) via hard copies. For more information on AIF shows and related DTD applications, please contact STB @ Tel: 6736 6622. Alternatively you may wish to visit their website @ www.stb.gov.sg.
DTD applications for IE supported events will continue to be processed by IE Singapore through the DTD on-line system.
