In addition, exporters also need to be familiar with export procedural knowledge and competencies. Here are some of the most common guides and schemes to help you with your exporting needs.
  • ieXport
    This is an online e-learning portal developed by IE Singapore to provide new or aspiring exporters with basic exporting concepts. Through its 13 modules, users will be given an insight into the issues they would need to consider prior to export. Sign up as an ieConnect member to access ieXport. Membership is free.


  • Singapore Customs
    Singapore Customs is the lead agency on trade facilitation and revenue enforcement matters. Information on Import and Export Procedures, Transhipment of Goods, Rules of Origin and HS Codes can be found on their website.


  • The Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS)
    The Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS) allows you to submit one or multiple licence applications to the relevant government agencies.


  • The Zero GST Warehouse Scheme
    The Zero GST Warehouse Scheme is administered by Singapore Customs for companies who wish to suspend GST of their imported goods.


  • The Major Exporter Scheme (MES)
    The Major Exporter Scheme (MES) is administered by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and is designed to alleviate the cash flow of major exporters who have significant imports.
