The latest International Enterprise (IE) Singapore Awareness Seminar was held at IE Singapore’s Little Red Dot Seminar Room on 10 July 2008. After a brief overview of IE Singapore by Mr Lim Kien Hwee, Senior Manager, Mr Sam Yeo from the Enterprise Resource Division of IE Singapore shared how participants can tap on resources and services available at the Advisory Centre to guide their overseas ventures.
Mr Jonathan Speight, Head of Trade and Supply Chain at HSBC Bank, also shared his expertise on how exporters can mitigate their risks. Participants were also exposed to the national business matching portal, BuySingapore.com, by Ms Dashel Liong, Assistant Manager of Abecha Pte Ltd. After a 30-min tea break, IE Singapore presented its array of financing tools, competency building schemes and tax incentive schemes to help Singapore-based companies in their overseas ventures. The iadvisory portal was also introduced to participants whereby they can connect with global advisers to seek advice on some of the burning issues faced when venturing overseas. Sponsored by HSBC bank, who is also the strategic partner, the event drew a crowd of more than 100 participants. |
